Does D Clef exist? Because I think I came up with a cool idea. Instead of using a treble clef, with G on the second line of the staff, you could use a sopranino or piccolo clef, using a D on the second line instead. Essentially, this transposes the treble clef up by a fifth. This is useful for writing violin music, because then you wouldn’t have to use so much ledger lines to write higher...
